Thapan Dubayehudi is a novelist, historian, linguist, and teacher of foreign languages. He is also known by his patronymic name, Thapan Avanoor Santhosh.
Biography
Dubayehudi was born in Cochin, India on 18 August 1998. He is married to Emanuela Bircea of the Viennese Jewish Community in Austria.[1]
An alumnus of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, he speaks 12 languages including Hebrew language Germany, Yiddish, Portuguese language, Spanish language, Russian language, Ukrainian language, English language, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil language.[2][3]
He has written four books, one of them being the only Hebrew-Malayalam Siddur in the world, jointly translated with his father. "Real History of the Cochin Jews Uncovered" is another of his works that challenged the popular narrative of the Cochin Jews' history.
Thapan Dubayehudi is also a patron of the Kadavumbhagam Ernakulam Synagogue, commonly attributed to be the oldest active synagogue in all of the Commonwealth of Nations.
He has also documented the endangered Judeo-Malayalam language for Wikitongues.
