ThankGod Emmanuel Ofem (/ ofɛm/ born September 20, 2003) is an Nigerian business magnate, computer programmer, internet entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He founded the software company Drauig and its parent company Drauig Group of which he is executive chairman, chief executive officer and Controlling interest|controlling shareholder.
Emmanuel wrote the Joint Admissions Matriculation Examination (JAMB) in May 2023, which he plans to attend Federal University of Nasarawa State by the next year, 2024 if given admission. He Officially registered Drauig in August, 2023 in the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria but Originally started in May, 2020 in Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
In January 2023, at age 19, he relocated to Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Nigeria where he continued his career ad further his education.
Early life and education
ThankGod Emmanuel Ofem was born and raised in Ugep, Cross River State, Nigeria, to parents Emmanuel Elijah Ofem and Philomina Emmanuel Elijah. ThankGod has one younger sister, Victory Emmanuel and two younger brothers, Godsfavour Emmanuel and Joyful Emmanuel. ThankGod's parents are pastors of the Popular Church in the South-South region of Nigeria, Kingdom Bride Bible Church since 2001 and were both transferred to Ebonyi State, Nigeria where they reside now.
ThankGod started to pursue his career as a Software Developer at the age of 14 in 2018 when he finished his High School in Ginger International School, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. Before moving to Ebonyi State to finish his High School, the Software Developer briefly attended Holy Child Nursery and Primary School in Mkpani (Yakurr Local Government Area, Cross River State) where he wrote his First School Leaving Examination and graduated from the primary school to Community Secondary School, Mkpani which he only studies there for two consecutive sections (JSS1 and JSS2) before he followed his parents to Ebonyi State as a result of transfer. In early 2018, ThankGod started a course on Web Development on which he did a fundamental learning on WordPress and some fundamentals in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language), CSS (Cascading Style Sheet), JavaScript and PHP respectfully. He also went through an advanced course on Data Analysis which helped him managed his Mother's Food Delivery website in 2019.
In 2020, the young Web Developer had to step-up his career as a Web Developer by going through an advanced course on Web Development on Coursera and eventually did a Computer Science which he got a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree via Class Central in 2022.
Apart from the skills ThankGod Emmanuel has, he also possess advanced skills in UI (User interface|User Interface) / UX (User Experience) Design using Figma and Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Content Creation, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and other Digital Marketing skills and General Auditing.
Career
Drauig
In May 2020, ThankGod Emmanuel Started his own Software Company Called Drauig [1]in No. 69 Afikpo Road, Abakaliki Ebonyi State, Nigeria. According to him, the company's names was giving out of the concept of "A meaningless name coming out to make a meaning". Drauig was not registered then but resumed work as a fully established company and was ranked as among the Top 10 Best Software Companies[2] in Ebonyi State.
In 2023, Drauig was ranked on Clutch among the Top Big Data Analytics Companies in Nigeria[3], Top 9 Natural Language Processing (NLP) Companies in Nigeria, Top 9 Chatbot Companies in Nigeria ,[4] Top Machine Learning Companies in Nigeria[5]
Project Professional Limited
In August 2020, Emmanuel went out for a job search and on his way back home, saw a company named Project Professional Limited, one of the biggest Business Consultant Agency in Ebonyi State and was interested so he made his way back there the next day. He applied as a Graphic Designer, but after some interviews he was employed as a Project Manager II on which he reports to the Head of IT, Chidozie Osagwe (Project Manager).
Due to ThankGod Emmanuel's in Project Professional Limited he got experiences and knowledge about Accounting Management Software, Handling Payment API's and also did a training on Handling Risk which was hosted by Project Professional Limited.
ThankGod Emmanuel was part of projects which included setting up a School Management System for Federal Polytechnic Unwana in Unwana, Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. He was also part of other projects that were similar to setting up a system which one of it were Building an API to manage payment gateway for CSMT Schools.
Other Projects
In September 2023, ThankGod joined VIS Nigeria by a contract type of employment and created a website for an online therapy solutions, Oakmark Assessment. He also created an online presence and Online Banking Server for Alpha Kapital Microfinance Bank
Personal life
Relationship
In July, 2023 ThankGod confirmed he was in a relationship with a college student from Imo State of Nigeria, Joy Korie inUniversity of Calabar through various social media posts; however, they had some misunderstanding by October, 2023 which almost led to their break-up and fortunately they settles the dispute and remained dating till now.
Religious Belief
Raised as a Christian, ThankGod Emmanuel attends his Parents Church, Kingdom Bride Bible Church in Ebonyi State and later worshipped at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, after he relocated to Abuja, Nigeria.
