Thales Corrêa is Brazilian-American filmmaker.

Filmmaking

Thales Corrêa began his career as an editor for a production company in Southern California, where he worked on notable projects such as the film "Most Guys Are Losers," featuring Mira Sorvino, Paul Sorvino, Andy Buckley, and Keith David. Corrêa's comedy feature film "Bathroom Stalls & Parking Lots" has won audience awards in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.[1][2] The film received international distribution through Breaking Glass Pictures [3] and is currently available on Peacock.

In 2021, Corrêa wrote and directed the mockumentary series "Poly People," a comedy about polyamory, which was considered for an Emmy PrimeTime nomination in the Short Form Comedy Series category. [4]

Corrêa's latest comedy series, "Doggy Bank," was awarded by WarnerOnefifty's NewNarratives program.[5] The series is set to make its debut on Amazon Prime in June 2023.

He has written and directed two award-winning shorts, “Parents" and "Milvio," both showcased at the Cannes Film Festival. [6]

Personal Life

Thales Corrêa currently resides in Los Angeles, California. He was born and raised in a small town in Brazil without a movie theater. His father worked as a coffee farmer, and his mother was a middle school teacher. Driven by a passion for storytelling, Corrêa moved to Los Angeles at a young age to pursue a career in cinema. He is dedicated to uplifting Latinx and LGBTQ+ voices and promoting diversity and representation through various mediums such as episodic series, feature films, and short films.
