Temitope Ogunsemo, a Nigeria national, born on the 3rd of January 1984 in Port Harcourt. He is the founder of Krystal Digital, a company specializing in education-related technologies. Krystal Digital is also in the business of creating, developing and deploying customized software designed for educational institutions in Nigeria.[1][2]

Early Life

Temitope was voted West African Personality of the Year 2018 by the Economic Community of West African States Youth Council. He was included in the Forbes (magazine) ranking of the thirty most promising young entrepreneurs on the black continent.

Life and Education

Ogunsemo comes from a family of six children. Educated at King's College, in Lagos, Nigeria, he finished his secondary education there. At the University of Ibadan, he continued his studies in industrial chemistry, obtaining a bachelor's degree. In the United Kingdom, at the University of Salford, he then earned a master's degree, in the field of information systems management.

Career

Before finding success with his company Krystal Digital, Temitope had long worked on a plethora of projects. It was only afterwards that he realized that his country's education was missing a plus and needed to innovate[3]

Krystal Digital

Founded on equity in 2011 in Lagos, Krystal Digital is a company that offers a multitude of services in the field of education that has become a fixture in the Nigeria[4]. It is its flagship product MySkool Portal which is a web-based application designed to properly store and document school and university data that has made it famous. In Nigeria, Krystal Digital is used by over fifty secondary schools and over 65,000 students. In 2017, Krystal Digital won the Technology Company of the Year trophy at the Nigeria Technology Award[5]. In November 2018, Krystal Digital received the award for the most entrepreneurial Information and Communication Technology ICT organization at the Nigeria Entrepreneur Awards ceremony[6]. Krystal is worth $3 million and has over 150 employees and collaborators.
