Telap is a small village of 1724 hectares in Sujangarh Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Telap depends on LADNU, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Telap is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Telap's pin code is 331518[4], and village code is 00659500. The area of Telap is segregated as 88.62 hectares irrigated area, 1441.43 hectares unirrigated, the 2.28 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 191.28 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 450 male, 329 female with 597 (76.64%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 412 males and 185 females. 298 males and 128 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 85 male and 51 female agricultural labor. 182 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of LADNU and Churu to sell ghee and make their living.
