Tekra is a small village of 7209 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tekra depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tekra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tekra's pin code is 342301[4], and village code is 01908500. The area of Tekra is segregated as 6018.45 hectares unirrigated, the 1112.54 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 78.35 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tekra has One post office (Tekra B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Tekra has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Tekra is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2438 and has total administration over 390 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell shoes and make their living.
