Teekad is a small village of 555 hectares in Amet Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Teekad depends on AMET, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Teekad is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Teekad's pin code is 313332[4], and village code is 02983800. The area of Teekad is segregated as 52 hectares irrigated area, 29 hectares unirrigated, the 173.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 301 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Teekad is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1468 and has total administration over 259 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of AMET and Rajsamand to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
