Tarpura is a small village of 2387 hectares in Sikar Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tarpura depends on Sikar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tarpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Tarpura's pin code is 332024[4], and village code is 01688300. The area of Tarpura is segregated as 175.58 hectares irrigated area, 1889.91 hectares unirrigated, the 208.91 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 112.79 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikar to sell bricks and make their living.
