Tarja Porkka-Kontturi (b.1982) is an activist and producer in the Finnish games industry, Senior Communications Director[1] of Global Game Jam, Board Member of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), freelance contributor to Pelaaja magazine, Vice President[2] of We in Games Finland, Board Member of Game Makers of Finland and Business Development Manager of The International Games Summit on Mental Health Awareness. Porkka-Kontturi has also been involved in developing and producing the online content for the Nordic Game Conference.
As a cultural producer, Porkka-Kontturi lectures and educates internationally on diversity, accessibility and inclusion. She leads PR and marketing teams at both Games Branding and PR Nordic. Porkka-Kontturi also acts as a Gaming industry mentor for Women in Games, among others.
Porkka-Kontturi teaches Video game development to secondary school students and lectures on game design at both vocational and higher education institutions.
