Tara is a small village of 409.5 hectares in Banda Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tara depends on CHILLA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply which is 30.01% of the total supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tara's pin code is 210123[4], and village code is 04786300. The area of Tara is segregated as 158.314 hectares irrigated area, 291.58 hectares unirrigated area. the 3.24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 47.96 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics

Tara is a census village in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 1473 and has total administration over 269 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of CHILLA and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
