Tapur is a small village of 1122 hectares in Chauth Ka Barwara Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tapur depends on SAWAI MADHOPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Tapur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tapur's pin code is 322703[4], and village code is 01306000. The area of Tapur is segregated as 167.89 hectares irrigated area, 387.89 hectares unirrigated, the 32.32 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 533.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
