Tanumanji is a small village of 2720 hectares in Sheo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tanumanji depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tanumanji is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Tanumanji's pin code is 344701[4], and village code is 02087200. The area of Tanumanji is segregated as 2158.45 hectares unirrigated, the 476.34 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 84.89 hectare area not available for cultivation.
