Tankawas is a small village of 838 hectares in Nasirabad Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tankawas depends on Kekri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 18.03% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Tankawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tankawas's pin code is 305407[4], and village code is 02583700. The area of Tankawas is segregated as 94.04 hectares irrigated area, 430 hectares unirrigated, the 224.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 90.03 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tankawas is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1308 and has total administration over 294 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kekri and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
