Tanjaret Daghet

Tanjaret Daghet (Arabic: طنجرة ضغط) is a Syrian metal band. It consists of lead singer Khaled Omran, guitarist Tarek Khuluki and drummer Dany Shukri[1]. Tanjaret Daghet is Arabic for 'Pressure Pot'.
Origin
Khaled Omran and Dany Shukri met eachother at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus[2]. Later on, Tarek Khuluki attended a party at which Omran and Shukri were present. Here they discussed music and subsequently decided to make music together. They started making music in a studio in Barzeh[2].
Tanjaret Daghet was founded in 2008 in Syria[1]. Having fled from their native country of Syria, the band members settled in Beirut, Lebanon in October of 2011[3][4]. After having settled in Beirut, the band members met their neighbour Raed el Khazen, who quickly became the producer of the band[3][5].
Music style
The group started off making music, which they described as 'improvisation, funk and a bit of fusion jazz'.[2] However, their current music is mainly metal, with some influences from electronic music. Their vocals are mainly in Arabic.[3]
