Tanda Kachhiyan is a small village of 600 hectares in Shahbad Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tanda Kachhiyan depends on Shivpuri (M.P.), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tanda Kachhiyan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tanda Kachhiyan's pin code is 325216[4], and village code is 03936900. The area of Tanda Kachhiyan is segregated as 35.2 hectares irrigated area, 95 hectares unirrigated, the 91.2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 190.06 hectare area not available for cultivation.
