Tancha is a small village of 1226 hectares in Chhipabarod Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tancha depends on Chhipabarod, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 49.98% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tancha is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tancha's pin code is 325219[4], and village code is 03960000. The area of Tancha is segregated as 508.95 hectares irrigated area, 452.3 hectares unirrigated, the 201.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 63.81 hectare area not available for cultivation.
