Tamesol is a spanish company founded in 2007, specializing in solar energy that focuses on the research, development, and manufacture of photovoltaic products. Headquartered in Girona, Spain.

History

Tamesol was established on August 15, 2007, initially serving as a distributor of solar panels. Since 2007, it has produced photovoltaic modules at full capacity, exceeding 20 million.[1][2] By 2009, the company had begun manufacturing photovoltaic modules under its proprietary brand. The year 2010 marked TAMESOL's expansion into international markets, entering regions such as Italy, Romania, and the United Kingdom, where the Chelveston renewable energy project became a notable venture with over 250,000 panels connected to the grid.[3]

In 2012, the company reported having supplied over half a million solar panels.

Between 2013 and 2014, it was the official sponsor of Girona.[4]

Two years later, in 2014, expanded operations beyond Europe to include Argentina, Brazil, India, and the United States[5]. By 2015, the number of panels connected to the grid by the company surpassed one million.

The year 2016 saw TAMESOL becoming a subsidiary of the British holding company International Solar Group Ltd, operating under the name "TMS pv modules and solar systems, SL.[6]

In 2021, it launched its production line with an output capacity of 10 Gw in Hefei, China.[7]

In 2023, the company announced a joint venture with TIDE solar technology LTD and inaugurated a new panel factory in Manila, Philippines. Tamesol unites with the international TIDE Solar company in 2023 to join the TIER 1 list.[8][9][10]
