Talab Gaon is a small village of 929 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Talab Gaon depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 12.89% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Talab Gaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Talab Gaon's pin code is 323001[3], and village code is 02713900. The area of Talab Gaon is segregated as 70.2 hectares irrigated area, 106.91 hectares unirrigated, the 40.69 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 342.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.
