Tajpur is a small village of 344 hectares in Gangapur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tajpur depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tajpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tajpur's pin code is 322202[4], and village code is 01265500. The area of Tajpur is segregated as 44.49 hectares irrigated area, 135.08 hectares unirrigated, the 16.53 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 91.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.
