- First female Captain in Royal Jordanian
- First woman to fly the Tri-Star[3] and the first and the only female Vice-President of Operations[4]in Royal Jordanian
Pilot
Taghreed Akasheh was employed by Royal Jordanian in 1975 [5] and received her Captain wings on August 17 1985
She served in many functions in Royal Jordanian in addition to her career as a pilot. Her career culminated in being the Vice President of Operations, an appointment from his Majesty King Hussein

Taghreed married to fellow pilot and Chief Pilot Badr Statieh
