Taïs Vinolo is a French ballerina and actress. Born in France, she trained classical ballet at the American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York. She gained recognition for her performance in Amazon’s 2020 holiday advertisement The Show Must Go On.[1][2] In 2025, she made her television acting debut as Mishi Duplessis in the Amazon Prime Video series Étoile.[3][4]
Early life and training
Vinolo began studying ballet at the School Of Ballet Lipszyc in Biarritz, France, before being accepted to the American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York after participating in their summer intensive program.[5][6]
Career

After graduating from the ABT School, she joined the National Ballet of Canada.[7][8]
The Show Must Go On (2020)
In 2020, Vinolo appeared in Amazon’s holiday advertisement The Show Must Go On, filmed by award-winning director Melina Matsoukas, portraying a young ballerina whose school recital is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[9][2] The commercial received critical acclaim and went viral for its emotional impact and message of resilience.[1]
Étoile (2025)
Vinolo made her scripted television debut in the Prime Video original series Étoile in 2025. She plays Mishi Duplessis, a French ballerina returning to Paris as part of a cultural exchange between ballet companies in New York and Paris.[3][8][10] Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino, the series was praised for blending drama and dance and for its authentic casting of real dancers.[11][12]
