TJ Jackson (born 11 August 1986) is an American actor and producer. He is particularly known for his roles in Hulu’s Vacation Friends, Star (TV Series), Doom Patrol, and American Soul. Jackson is the recipient of 2019 Best Local Actor - 72 Hour Film Festival. He is regularly seen on FOX Television Network, BET Network, ID Network, Hulu, Disney, and ABC.[1]

Born in Tyler, Texas, TJ Jackson started acting at a very young age. He made his first appearance in Chris Rock’s comedy film Head of State in 2003. His first major role was in Swing (2016) and gained recognition with his role as Sean, Taylor's husband. Since then, he has made several appearances in short movies, TV series and films.[2]

He served as a producer for TV Series, Gritz in 2017 and has eight credits as a producer.

Early life and education

Jackson was born on August 11, 1986 in Tyler, Texas. He was raised in Tyler before relocating to Glen Burnie, Maryland, in the 10th grade. An active member in his church’s choir and drama ministries, TJ was also in a local boy band called “Holy Edition” where he was one of the lead singers and writers.

He graduated from Glen Burnie Senior High School. Thereafter he attended Hampton University for a Bachelor's in Sports & Recreation Management.

Career

TJ began acting professionally in the summer of 2014. He began pursuing his career acting for many roles, including short films, commercials, and TV series.

Since then, TJ’s been on FOX Television Network, BET Network, ID Network, Hulu, Disney, and ABC. Jackson has also produced Davis, Walton Family Cabin, Gritz (TV Series), and several others.

TJ tends to be a homebody, but he enjoys playing tennis, going bowling, and visiting TopGolf and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.
