Szabo Sihag is a contemporary luxury fashion house based in London, United Kingdom.[1] It was founded in 2019 by designers Meghna Sihag and Krisztian Szabo. They launched their first women's collection spring summer'20 in 2019 in London. The duo started the ready-to-wear clothing line focused on traditional techniques and artistry. They aim to support different classic artistry work and craftsmanship that is on the verge of extinction.[2]

Early life

Meghna Sihag and Krisztian Szabo first met in London through a mutual friend in 2016. In 2018 both decided to start a fashion brand together. Initially, In 2020 Meghna and Krisztian had to face difficulties due to the pandemic and the lockdown. But since the beginning of 2021 they have come along way. Szabo Sihag have been featured in magazines like Vogue India[3],Vogue Italia[4], Teeth magazine[5], Vanidad (Spanish magazine)[6], Sicky magazine[7]. Their collection has been worn by celebrities like Stefflon Don[8] and has been featured in Shaybo - My Sister (Official Video) ft. Jorja Smith[9].

Meghna was born in August 1990 in Sirsa Haryana, India. While growing up she adapted few techniques of hand embroidery and textile development watching her mother. She finished her high school she moved to New Delhi to pursue her bachelor's degree in commerce from the university of Delhi. After graduating she decided to pursue a career in fashion and started her one-year diploma in fashion clothing and technology from NIFT, New Delhi][10]]. Eventually, she decided to expand her knowledge in international fashion by pursuing a fashion degree from Istituto Marangoni|Istituto Marangoni London.[11] (She dropped out of University before graduating) and decided to start her label. Before starting her label she worked with brands such as Shantanu and Nikhil and Emilia Wickstead|Emilia Wicksteed[12][13]

Krisztian Szabo was born in Komlo, Hungary. He grew up with a strong interest in fine arts and fashion. After graduating from high school he moved to London, with a vision to pursue his studies in graphic designing. In 2017 he moved to Florence, Italy to pursue a graphic design course at The Florence Institute of Design International[14].[15]
