Syed Rahman (born 22 January 1984), popularly known as Saif, is an American entrepreneur and artist.[2] Saif is the founder of Modern Wall Art, a handicrafts company based in North America.[3]wa Saif has over 15 years of experience in designing Islamic 3D décor and stainless steel art.[4]

Saif’s company is recognized as America's first Islamic Art Gallery, and his work is currently being displayed at the Chicago History Museum. Modern Wall Art is best known for its handmade and customizable products.[5][6]

Saif believes in giving back to the community and has donated over 100k in the past year to several communities globally. He has been widely covered in the high-tier media for his innovative products, including Yahoo Finance, Accesswire, Business Insider, The Chicago Journal, and others.[7][8][9][10]

Early life and education

Saif was born on 22 January 1984 in Hyderabad, India. He grew up with two siblings, a brother and a sister. Saif moved to Chicago with his family in 2001, when he was in high school.

Saif has a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and Nuclear Medicine technology.

Career

Saif started designing handmade pieces in 2004 and sold a couple of them on eBay. But it was not till 2014 that he established his company, Modern Wall Art.[11] Saif started this company with his father in the basement, which has now become one of the leading handicraft stores that ships worldwide.

Modern Wall Art creates custom decor designs from scratch for their clients, such as table pieces, wall pieces, perfumes, lighting, car hangs, canvas paintings, books, jewelry, and clothing. Saif’s company became America’s first Arabic Art Gallery offering handmade and customizable 3D decor, stainless steel art, and furniture.

In 2016, Saif opened a small studio space in Skokie, Illinois, and within two years (in 2018), he opened his first gallery in Skokie. In 2020, he opened a Bridgeview location. Under the leadership of Saif, Modern Wall Art has expanded its offerings significantly including, wall-mounted art, sculptures, clocks, mirrors, doorknobs, bookshelves, business card holders, floor lamps, and coffee tables, among other things.

Saif recently opened his gallery to other artists and giving them an opportunity to sell their work on Modern Wall Art’s website. He is also involved with several non-profit organizations and has given donations to several communities globally.

Personal Life

Saif is married and has a daughter. He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu.
