Sydney Marie Klimek (born August 22, 2001) is an American children's book author and current occupational therapy doctoral candidate attending the University of Missouri College of Health Sciences. Her first book (published on August 29, 2024), titled "Saying Goodbye is Hard, and That's Okay" was designed to help adults explain loss and grief to children who have recently lost a loved one.[1] Sydney wrote this book after the passing of her mother Angela Klimek in July of 2021. [2]
Sydney grew up in Columbia, MO, and graduated from Baylor University in Waco, TX, with a undergraduate degree in Health Science.[3]
