Surpura Kalan is a small village of 936 hectares in Bhopalgarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surpura Kalan depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surpura Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Surpura Kalan's pin code is 342606[4], and village code is 01951100.
