Surpura is a small village of 912 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surpura depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surpura's pin code is 342304[4], and village code is 01961200. The area of Surpura is segregated as 35.38 hectares irrigated area, 719.86 hectares unirrigated, the 112.48 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 44.06 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Surpura is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1788 and has total administration over 289 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
