Surpur is a small village of 657 hectares in Kapasan Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surpur depends on Kapasan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 296.63% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surpur's pin code is 312201[4], and village code is 03629800. The area of Surpur is segregated as 296.63 hectares irrigated area, 112.49 hectares unirrigated, the 117.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 130.88 hectare area not available for cultivation.
