Surauta is a small village of 495 hectares in Kumher Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surauta depends on Kumher, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surauta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surauta's pin code is 321202[4], and village code is 01027600. The area of Surauta is segregated as 163 hectares irrigated area, 317 hectares unirrigated, remaining 14.91 hectare area not available for cultivation.
