Surani is a small village of 1584 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surani depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Surani's pin code is 342001[4], and village code is 01993700. The area of Surani is segregated as 1469 hectares unirrigated, the 67 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Surani has One post office (Surani B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Surani has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Surani is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1906 and has total administration over 279 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
