Surajkund is a small village of 1531 hectares in Ajmer Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surajkund depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 100.21% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Surajkund is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surajkund's pin code is 305022[4], and village code is 02509200. The area of Surajkund is segregated as 326.97 hectares irrigated area, 519.21 hectares unirrigated, the 371.14 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 159.38 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Surajkund is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1877 and has total administration over 345 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Ajmer to sell rope making and make their living.
