Surajgaon is a small village of 850 hectares in Sagwara Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Surajgaon depends on Sagwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Surajgaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Surajgaon's pin code is 314027[4], and village code is 03346000. The area of Surajgaon is segregated as 239 hectares irrigated area, 108 hectares unirrigated, the 264 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 239 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sagwara and Dungarpur to sell ghee and make their living.
