Sundeep Rob Addy is a litigation partner at Bartlit Beck LLP, joining the firm in 2006.[1]

Education

Addy earned a Bachelor of Arts Plan II Honors & Economics with Special Honors at the University of Texas in 2000 and his Juris Doctor with High Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004.[2] Addy was a member of the editorial board of the Texas Law Review, a teaching quizmaster, and a chancellor during his time at the University of Texas School of Law. Addy also served as editor-in-chief for the nation's largest college newspaper, The Daily Texan. Addy was a law clerk for Judge David M. Ebel on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals from 2004 - 2005 and for Justice Paul W. Green on the Supreme Court of Texas.[3]

Career

Addy is serving as Special Assistant Attorney General to the State of Colorado. Attorney General Phil Weiser appointed Addy as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado to join a team conducting a patterns and practices investigation into the Aurora Police Department and Aurora Fire Rescue.[4][5] On August 2, 2022, U.S. senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper recommended Addy, Gordon Gallagher and Kato Crews for two vacancies on the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.[6] In 2023, Addy was named to the board of directors for the Faculty of Federal Advocates.[7]

Personal life

Addy is a former journalist who worked on Emmy award winning documentaries for PBS.[8] From 2014 to 2019, Addy was a board member for Mnds Matter of Denver, a non profit organization that provides free weekly mentoring and college prep services to low income families.[9][10] [11]

Awards and recognition

In 2009, Addy was named the "Litigation Boutique of the Year" by American Lawyer.[3]
