Sumbhi is a small village of 253 hectares in Azamgarh Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sumbhi depends on Azmatgarh (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sumbhi's pin code is 276128[4], and village code is 08660700. The area of Sumbhi is segregated as 189 hectares irrigated area, 18 hectares unirrigated area. the 21 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 23 hectare area not available for cultivation.
