Sultanpur is a small village of 400 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sultanpur depends on Rasra (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Sultanpur's pin code is 277402[4], and village code is 09134100. The area of Sultanpur is segregated as 700 hectares irrigated area, 25 hectares unirrigated area. and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Sultanpur is a census village in the district of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2759 and has total administration over 393 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

Employment

The workforce is 643 male, 176 female with 554 (67.64%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 498 males and 56 females. 246 males and 13 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 66 male and 28 female agricultural labor. 265 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rasra (MB) and Ballia to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
