Sultan Al-Malki holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Department of Media at King Saud University. Initially, he started learning technology and website design at the age of 15.
Career:
Al-Malki began his career at "Sabq" electronic newspaper in 2007, where he was mentored by the newspaper's founder and editor-in-chief, Ali Al-Hazmi. In 2009, Mohammed Al-Shihri, the editor-in-chief of Al-Mowaten newspaper, encouraged him to study journalism alongside his technical skills. This led him to transfer to the Department of Media at King Saud University, where he specialized in journalism.
In 2013, Al-Malki resigned from "Sabq" and joined the "Ajel" electronic newspaper, serving as editor-in-chief. He is also the managing director of Ejaz Electronic Publishing Company[1], which owns the newspaper and several prominent social media accounts.

Al-Malki contributed to expanding "Ajel" to achieve Arab-wide recognition and managed its social media accounts, which have become some of the largest news accounts in Saudi Arabia. He also played a key role in launching the English version of "Ajel" newspaper.
Al-Malki has participated in several television interviews. On April 16, 2019, he was featured on the well-known MBC channel, where he discussed the motivations behind launching the English version of the Saudi newspaper "Ajel" He explained that the aim was to expand the reach to non-Arabic-speaking audiences both within Saudi Arabia and abroad, providing accurate facts and information about the Kingdom from the inside.[3]
Notable Interviews:
Al-Malki conducted the first-ever interview for a Saudi newspaper with Pope Tawadros II, the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the Egyptian Orthodox Church. During this interview, Pope Tawadros praised the modern changes in Saudi Arabia, describing them as "progressive." He also highlighted the importance of Saudi-Egyptian cooperation in facing regional challenges, including foreign interference and terrorism, which threaten national unity and people's right to live.[4]
Additionally, on April 2, 2011, Al-Malki appeared on Bahrain's national television, where he criticized the Bahraini newspaper "Al-Wasat" for plagiarizing Saudi news stories and misrepresenting them as related to events in Bahrain, with the intent of stirring public opinion during the 2011 protests in the Kingdom of Bahrain.[5]
On June 20, 2022, Sultan Al-Malki spoke to the prominent Egyptian newspaper Youm7 during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Cairo. Al-Malki praised the strong ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, emphasizing their longstanding political and economic cooperation. He noted that 2021 saw the highest trade exchange between the two countries and highlighted the visit's focus on regional challenges, including preparations for President Joe Biden's upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia and the impacts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.[6]
On March 5, 2018, Sultan Al-Malki spoke to Dot Masr, emphasizing the significance of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to Egypt as his first official foreign tour since becoming Crown Prince. Al-Malki highlighted the deep ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, noting their joint efforts to address regional challenges such as combating terrorism and supporting Yemen's legitimate government. He also underscored the cultural and political importance of the Crown Prince's meetings with Egyptian religious leaders and his attendance at cultural events, reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to openness and cultural exchange.[7]
