Sulaiman Al-Habib is a Saudi businessman and billionaire. Al-Habib founded the Dr.Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Services Group, which has over 22 facilities in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates as of 2025.

Early life and education

Sulaiman Al-Habib was born in 1957 in Saudi Arabia. He obtained his medical degree from King Saud University in 1977 and later pursued a fellowship in pediatrics from the British Royal College of Physicians in 1984.

Career

In 1995, Dr. Al-Habib founded the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG), which has grown to operate hospitals, outpatient clinics, pharmacies, and medical laboratories across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.

In 2020, HMG was listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul). At the time of its initial public offering, Dr. Al-Habib's 49% stake in the company was valued at approximately 8.5 billion SAR ($2.3 billion).[1] As of 2025, the group has over 22 facilities in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.[2]

Achievements and Recognitions

Under Dr. Al-Habib's leadership, HMG was recognized as the most influential healthcare provider in the Middle East by Forbes magazine in 2022.[3]

Philanthropy

Dr. Al-Habib is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum and is actively involved in community engagement and healthcare development.[4]
