Sujatha Vijaykumar (born 1st January 1961), is an Indian Producer[1] [2] who works in the Tamil cinema. She was awarded as Best Debut Producer in Kollywood by Galatta Nakshatra Awards in the year 2019 & Best Women Producer award by JFW on same year [3]. She has Produced Movies[4] such as Veerappu, Bhoomi, Adanga maru[5].Siren is her upcoming[6] She has a very good connect with Tollywood, so she made her Siren Movie Teaser to be released by Dil Raju [7]
Early Life
She was the student of Film Institute. Actor Rajinikanth was her classmate and colleague in short films[8]
Family & Friends
She is married to a business man Krishnamoorthy Vijaykumkar[9].Her elder daughter Aarthi is married[10] to Ponniyin Selvan fame Actor Jayam Ravi. They share a close bond in Profession as well in family[11] She is a very close friend of Actress and Politician Khushbu[12] During the Pandemic time, She and Kushbu met CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami representing Tamil Serial Industry to discus about the serial shooting norms [13]
Career
She Started her Production House Home Movie Makers in the year 1999 and won Tamil Nadu State Award for best serial in the year 2012 for Uthiripookal.[14] Ganga, Madhavi, Karai, Manaivi and Lakshmi are some of her best serials to which she was also the creative head.
Achievements
Sujatha Vijaykumar is one of the Steering Committee member[15] of CII Dakshin, which was inaugurated by CM CM MK Stalin [16] [17] She is the president of STEPS (Society of Television Producers of South India). Sujatha Vijaykumar is the Chamber Member of South Indian Film Council[18] with the electing power.
