Sudharsan Govind is an Indian actor who works predominanty in Tamil and Telugu Films. He rose to fame through his appearance in the show Cooku with Comali (2021) alongside his friend and actor Pavithra Lakshmi. He also participated in Kalignar TV's Naalaya Iyyakunar (Season 6) reality show and won the Best Actor Award. He played the lead role of Varun in a Telugu language comedy television Hello World which is streaming on ZEE5. His upcoming film Complex, directed by Mantra Veerapandian, starring Ivana, Aadukalam Naren, M.S. Bhaskar and Bava Chelladurai as lead characters is set to release in theatres in May 2023.
Career
Sudharsan first appeared as a background artist in Rajinikanth's Pettai where he acted as one of the college students living in the boys hostel. He went on to perform prominent roles in films like Gangs of Madras & Walter.
Sudharsan's first stint into reality shows started when he appeared in Kalaigner TV's Naalaya Iyakkunar (Season 6), a talent show for identifying the hidden talents of the new age directors. The show included legendary directors like Vetrimaran, Prathap Pothan etc. as a part of the jury, an initiation to give rise to fresh talents. He acted in some notable short films like Thatpam, Pulari & Ninaivile Pudhu Sugam which led him to win the Best Actor Award for the season from Makkal Selvan "Vijay Sethupathi" & Tamil actor Kathir. He also appeared in Star Vijay's Cooku with Comali (2021) which garnered him a lot of fame among Tamil audiences, especially for his fun banter with comedian Pugazh.
Sudharsan later went on to play the role of Varun, in the Telugu language comedy web series Hello World, produced by Niharika Konidela therby making his debut in Telugu. The series opened to mixed to positive reviews and was streamed on Zee5. The series went on to become one of the most watched web series made in Telugu language, clocking over a 100 million minutes of watch time within two weeks of launch.
