Nicolas Panarelli (known professionally as Stylouz Cosplay) is a Swiss model, professional cosplayer, prop-maker and actor. Panarelli was a two-time Swiss representative at the European Cosplay Championship (ECG) in Paris in 2012 and 2015[1] where he placed second with his costume of Rinzler from Tron Legacy. Panarelli is also known for his cosplays of Hanzo Shimada from Overwatch[2], Shikamaru Nara and Kakashi Hatake from Naruto[3][4], and made his acting debut as V in Cyberpunk 2077 – Phoenix Program. He currently resides in Geneva[3].
Career
Panarelli started his cosplay career in 2009, where he specialized in costume design, armour making, and special effects makeup.[1]
After a few years of participating in cosplay competitions, Panarelli was promoted to judge and received numerous invitations to judge cosplay contests internationally[1]. Some of the most notable competitions he has judged include the Cosplay European Championship finals in 2013 (Paris), the World Cosplay Summits (WCS) Japan, and the Global Easter Competition in Montreux.
In 2017, Panarelli’s cosplay of Hanzo Shimada from Overwatch resulted in a collaboration with the video game company Activision Blizzard who used photos of his cosplay to promote the character at the release of Heroes of the Storm. It was this cosplay and collaboration that put him in the social media spotlight and allowed him to gain recognition[4].
Panarelli made his acting debut in 2020, where he appeared in the short film Cyberpunk 2077 – Phoenix Program, portraying the character V[1][4]. He also appeared in a series of futuristic music videos for the German rap star Olexesh in Berlin realized by the famous Art director Specter Berlin (Specter Berlin – Wikipedia).
As of 2022, Panarelli was cast to take part by Activision Blizzard for the promotion of Overwatch. He has served as judge for over 500 cosplay competitions[1] and has taken part in collaborations with Sunrise Telecom and Redbull, the latter in which he reprised his role as a V.
