Streann Media is an American content streaming solution provider headquartered in Miami, Florida. Streann Media’s software as a service (SaaS) platform allows content creators to launch video streaming platforms similar to Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and Amazon Video via the internet with their original content.[1] The platform provides content creators with several distribution, engagement, and monetization tools, in addition to providing full-service customizable web and app design.[2] The company’s technology reaches people across digital partners including Google, Apple IOS, Android, Fire TV, and more in 141 countries.

History

Streann Media was founded in 2014 by Giovanni Punzo and Antonio Calderón, going full time in 2016.[1] Punzo and Calderón met while working at LiveU and Broadcast Depot.[1] After seeing Netflix’s transition to a media content business model, Calderón and Punzo realized that content providers were struggling to make the shift to digital and streaming content. They set out to build software solutions to help creators deliver and monetize their digital offerings.

In 2017, the company launched its Inside-Ad and Selfie-Ads solutions, which gained popularity among some of the nation’s top brands.

In 2018, Streann Media signed with NBC International, making them an official vendor for the media conglomerate.[3] That same year, Streann Media’s platform streamed all 64 games of the FIFA World Cup to three countries on mobile, web and Roku.[4]

In 2020, Streann Media partnered actor and comedian Sinbad to expand, engage, and monetize his audience as a result of the Coronavirus Pandemic, which disrupted live events and impacted sales revenue.[5]
