Strategy First University (commonly referred to as Strategy First or SFU) is a private university with campuses in Yangon,[1] Mandalay and Monywa, Myanmar. Strategy First University is a member of Strategy First Education Group Ltd.[2]
It was established in 2010,[3] by Aung Chit Khin.
History
Strategy First Institute, founded in 2010, was started as a specialised Marketing Institution, and expanded into other business disciplines by working with the UK Professional Institutions and the engagement with the local business directly.[4] By 2017, more programmes were introduced, including Information Technology and Civil Engineering related programmes by working with UK Universities. Strategy First Institute received a permit from Myanmar Investment Commission to invest and operate as a University in March, 2019. Strategy First University have over 32,000+ alumni and 10,000+ students across all the campuses.[5]
Strategy First University is currently working with Heriot-Watt University,[6] Oxford Brookes University,[7] Chartered institute of marketing, Project Management Institute, Pearson Education, NCC Education,[8] and Scottish Qualifications Authority to confer Undergraduate Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees, and Professional Diplomas.[9]
