Stevan R. Pantelić (Serbian: Стеван Р. Пантелић; Šabac, Principality of Serbia, 4 September 1839 - Belgrade, Serbia, Kingdom of Yugoslavia, 1 September 1929) was a Serbian Army general, physicist and chemist. He served as 9th Dean of the Academic Board of the Military Academy in Serbia from 1893 to 1894.[1][2]
Biography
Stevan Pantelić was born in 1839 in Šabac where he completed his primary education. He then moved to Belgrade where he graduated from the Gymnasium and enrolled in the Chemistry Department of the Grande écoles. He also attended the Military Academy. Upon graduation from the university and the academy in 1867,[2]he became a regular member of the Department of Natural Science and mathematics at the Serbian Learned Society (Srpskog učenog društva)[3]. He was also an honorary member of the said institution since 15 November 1892.[1]
