Stephen Joseph Neale (born 12 March 1964) is a British journalist and author.[1]
Education and career
Neale completed his BA in Communications and Journalism at the London College of Printing (the London College of Communication), Back Hill, Clerkenwell, Farringdon, London.
He trained as a BBC digital reporter[2] at MediaCityUK headquarters in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester – one of the corporation's first crop of 165 journalists[3] contracted to improve news[4] on local democracy issues across the UK.
He has been named in Parliament[5] on two occasions[6] for campaigning[7] journalism.[8]
Previously worked as a freelance writer for the Chinese state news agency Xinhua, and a lecturer in journalism at University of Essex and South Essex College.[9]
Outdoor Writing
Neale is best known for award winning articles on land access problems in the UK and Ireland, and notable solutions.[10]
A best selling Bloomsbury author, tens of thousands of his books have been sold since 2015.[11]
He was a volunteer surveyor[12] on the England Coast Path, and a volunteer warden for Essex Wildlife Trust.
