Stéphane Boukris is a French entrepreneur, business angel, and producer born on December 9, 1983, in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

A graduate of ESSEC (BBA) and ESCP (MSIE), Stéphane launched "Staaff" in 2007, which led him to become a laureate of the BFM Academy in 2008. As the startup did not meet the expected success, Stéphane simultaneously launched the temporary site FaisMesDevoirs.com in 2009, attracting the government's attention.

In the same year, he was noticed by Jean-Baptiste Descroix-Vernier, who became his "professional father," and he assumed management roles within Dalenys.

On November 14, 2009, he organized a guerrilla marketing operation for one of Rentabiliweb subsidiaries, Mailorama, involving distributing €100,000 in the streets of Paris without any conditions, attracting nearly 50,000 people and turning into a riot. This led the French Government to enact the “Boukris Law,” part III of the Loppsi 2 law, which now prohibits companies from distributing money as part of a marketing operation.

In 2010, with the support of his friend Xavier Niel, he launched 2HeuresAvant.com, a discounted ticketing platform for shows, which won the Fevad Innovation Award in 2010. He then left Dalenys to co-produce the musical Robin Des Bois (Robin Hood) with pop star M Pokora, which attracted 800,000 spectators in France and won numerous awards.

In 2012, Stéphane launched L’Express Ventures with the L’Express group, the first French media-for-equity fund. Patrick Drahi, the acquirer of L'Express within Altice Medias, asked Stéphane to dissolve the fund and sell the stakes, including Short Edition, a startup also financed by director Francis Ford Coppola.

In 2013, he co-founded Ametix with Vincent Klingbeil and Patrick Bunan, a digital services company with 500 employees, which was sold to Groupe La Poste in 2020 for 35 Millions Euros. Within Ametix, Stéphane became known for his original and atypical ideas. He promised to recruit all students from the 42 school and developed the concept of the Best Developer in France competition, a hackathon for which former US President Bill Clinton invited him to his offices to conceive a similar concept within the Clinton Foundation. He also utilized his network to attract artists like Amir, Dadju, Aya Nakamura, and his friend actor Jean-Claude Van Damme to the Best Developer in France competition.

After selling to Groupe La Poste, Stéphane created Excelsior in early 2020, a hub of digital services, in which he invested €3 million. Also that year, he relocated to the United Arab Emirates.

Stéphane also invested in thirty companies as a business angel. He has been a partner at SIDE Capital since 2017, a seed fund that notably financed the startup Regaind, acquired by Apple.

A well-connected individual, Stéphane Boukris is advised by Alain Minc, Jacques Attali, and, in his lifetime, Bernard Tapie.
