Star Boy LOC (born Lokesh Kumar) is an Indian rapper, singer, lyricist,[1] and composer known for his contributions to the Punjabi and Hindi music scenes.[2] Emerging from Delhi, he has garnered attention for his energetic performances and tracks that resonate with urban youth culture.[3][4][5]
Early Life and Background
Lokesh Kumar hails from Delhi, India. Before venturing into music, he worked in the corporate sector, including roles in BPOs and retail. Despite professional success, he felt unfulfilled and decided to pursue his passion for music. This transition marked the beginning of his journey as Star Boy LOC.
Musical Career
Star Boy LOC began his musical journey around 2012, focusing on Punjabi and Hindi rap.[6] His style blends traditional Punjabi beats with contemporary hip-hop elements.[7] Some of his notable tracks include "Dilli Se Hoon," "Chandigarh Police," and "Peg Pe Peg." In 2018, he was initially slated to have a song featured in the Bollywood film Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se, but it was replaced shortly before the film's release.[8]
Beyond studio recordings, Star Boy LOC has performed live at various events,[9] including international venues in Dubai.[10][11][12]
Personal Life
In September 2023, Star Boy LOC married content creator Pallavi Gaba, sister of singer Millind Gaba. The couple had a traditional Punjabi wedding in Delhi, attended by family and friends.[13][14][15]
