Stan Zurkiewicz (born 9 August, 1979) is a Polish business executive in the Testing, inspection and certification, Inspection, Certification (TIC) industry. Since 2022, he has been Chief executive officer and Chairperson of the Board of Management at Dekra and Dekra SE.[1]
Personal life
Zurkiewicz holds a Master of Arts in Management from the University of St Andrews, Scotland (2002) and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the China Europe International Business School, China (2011).[2] The native Pole speaks Polish, English, Mandarin and German.[3]
Professional Career
Zurkiewicz started his career in the Testing, inspection and certification, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry at ABB as Management for Business development. Later, he was appointed General manager of Kema Quality, a subsidiary of KEMA.[2] Following the acquisition of Kema Quality by Dekra in 2009, Zurkiewicz first worked for Dekra as General manager China. Later, he held several management positions within the group in the Asian business region. Since 2016, he has been in charge of the East & South Asian branch of Dekra. In 2021, Zurkiewicz was appointed Member of the Management Board of Dekra SE and Chief operating officer, responsible for Dekra's six global regions, operations and sales.[4] Since April 2022, Zurkiewicz has been CEO and Chairman of the Board of Management at DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE.[1]
In this position he is responsible for the group's strategy and its development, as well as communications. Additionally to his new tasks, Zurkiewicz retains operational responsibility for the six regions, operations and sales, as Dekra did not re-appoint a new COO.[1] Also, he is to further expand the business in the Asia-Pacific region.[3]
