Sotka is a small village of 188 hectares in Alwar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sotka depends on ALWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 8.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sotka is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sotka's pin code is 301028[4], and village code is 00847900. The area of Sotka is segregated as 78 hectares irrigated area, 86 hectares unirrigated, remaining 24 hectare area not available for cultivation.
