Sothaliya is a small village of 580 hectares in Sri Madhopur Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sothaliya depends on Reengus, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 467.10% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Sothaliya is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Reengus and Sikar to sell ghee and make their living.
