Sorahiya is a small village of 929.1 hectares in Nanpara Tehsil in Bahraich district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Sorahiya depends on RUPAIDIHA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Sorahiya's pin code is 271881[4], and village code is 06440600. The area of Sorahiya is segregated as 59.56 hectares irrigated area, 726.14 hectares unirrigated area. the 50.12 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 83.74 hectare area not available for cultivation.
